Women’s FAQ

The questions women ask first.

Short, honest answers, in plain words. If yours isn’t here, call or text and ask.

What should I wear, and how much do I undress?

Wear whatever is comfortable to arrive and leave in. For massage, most women undress to whatever level they’re comfortable with, and you’ll be under a sheet and blanket the whole time. You decide, and there’s no wrong answer. Reflexology is done with you comfortably clothed.

How does draping work?

You lie under a sheet and blanket, and I step out of the room while you get settled. During the session I uncover only the area I’m working on, and everything else stays covered.

Do I need to shave?

No. Do whatever you normally do. It makes no difference to me or to your massage.

Is it okay to be self-conscious about my body?

Yes, and it’s very common. Bodies of every size, shape and age are welcome here. I’m focused on how your muscles feel, not how they look, and you’re covered throughout.

Can I ask you to skip an area?

Always. You can tell me at the start or in the middle of a session, and you don’t need to explain. I’ll also ask before working on sensitive areas.

Can I get a massage on my period?

Generally yes, if you feel up to it. Some women find it comforting; others prefer lighter pressure on the abdomen or lower back. Just tell me and we’ll adjust. If you have heavy bleeding or pain that worries you, please check with your doctor.

Can I get a massage while pregnant?

Please check with your doctor or midwife first, and tell me how far along you are when you book. With their approval, I can adapt a session. I’ll tell you honestly if I think it’s better to wait.

Why women only?

Because many women can only fully relax when they feel completely at ease, and a space made for women makes that easier. It also means you never have to wonder about who’s on the other side of the door.

What if I fall asleep?

That’s perfectly fine. It happens a lot, and I take it as a compliment. I’ll wake you gently at the end.
